Inefficient, this was the filmmaker (Dennis Quaid) swindles his way into an interview with a film executive (Greg Kinnear) to turn a bold and controversial comedy manuscript. After building the first of his thirteen Offbeat fables, forced the unfortunate artist the rest of his incoherent allegory executive at gunpoint. He tells the story of a woman on a blind date with a man who has testicles growing out of his neck, another offers a battered woman the neck of her boyfriend to shit on as a sign dedication and love. Yet one two-parent home schooling take on a whole new level of obscenity, strives to give his teenage son isolated all the usual torment and humiliation of teenage blackmail, peer pressure and even seduces her own. A remarkable, elephant-in-the-room kind of film. |
